From Wednesday 2nd December and in line with Tier 2 restrictions (which only allows family members or someone in your support bubble to meet inside) we are again open for business. Opening hours will continue to be Monday to Saturday 9am to 5pm. Bookings will be taken as of 8.30am Tuesday 1st (morning via telephone only) Please be aware that there will be a very limited number of tables inside. With beautiful views down Gold Hill and over the Blackmore Vale, where better to dine than The Salt Cellar, Shaftesbury.
We serve delicious, freshly prepared and locally produced food including salads, paninis, ciabattas, pies and daily specials. Not to mention our homemade cakes.
Whether you are looking for a breakfast, lunch or fancy a cream tea, you can be rest assured that we have prepared your meal using all of shaftesburys best ingredients.
Need to know
Our restaurant provides gluten free and vegetarian options. Our menu doesn't cater specifically for those who are vegan, however we do try our best to accommodate your needs.
Nuts are used in the kitchen.
Dogs are welcome in our shop and also on the outside terrace however they are not allowed in our main restaurant due to having an open kitchen.
We recommend booking a table as we do get busy especially in summer and at the weekends. Please give us a call to book.
